UNF History

We are a Michigan and God based 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting villages and families in rural Haiti. We welcome, with open hearts and minds, all cultures and faiths dedicated to loving God and loving our neighbors. We believe in coming along side small villages and working toward a nest of sustainability.

Transparency and Accountability

Our promise to our donors and partners…

If you’re like us, you want to be sure your donations are going to actually make a difference.  That’s our number one commitment.  Our executive director and board president have carefully chosen individuals with good executive abilities and integrity to ensure we are doing it right.  We have personally been working alongside these people since 2011 and we know their ethics.  Everyone involved have tirelessly sacrificed their time because they believe in United N.E.S.T. Foundation. All funds will be used morally and responsibility according to our board members and supporters.

Any project we touch must be directly tied to one of our four pillarsNourish, Empower, Strengthen, and Transform.  Our focus is rural communities where the needs are the greatest. We will grow slow but strong to ensure what we begin lasts and grows over time.  Each program has a sustainability timeline; what that means is your dollars donated will be used for startup with a clear strategy for self-sufficiency.  Some of our larger programs will be able to actually support smaller causes such as providing food for the elderly on Saturdays and medicine for the health clinic.

Day 1:

United N.E.S.T. Foundation came from multiple sources. The strongest force was the power of God rolling through our favorite “Haitian Sensation”, Ephraim Lucien. He has had the image and dream of making this ministry a reality for many years, yet just could not come up with the other pieces of the puzzle until now!

December 20-23, 2016:

These dates are the specific dates that the first Young Athletes With Hope youth soccer camp was held in Hinche, Haiti. Taylor, Dylan, and Ephraim knew that after this camp was over, something big had started and a bond of commitment to one another through God was formed. Everything was falling into place.

February 2, 2017:

This was the day that the board was officially set and started our paperwork to officially become a 501 (3) (c) non profit organization! This was the day that all the magic started to happen and the dreams and visions ran through each and every one of us.

May 21, 2017:

The day of the official launch party! Our website was officially launched this day and we invited many people out to the Bayview Inn Hotel Bar and Grill in Traverse City, Michigan to celebrate the launch of something special!

August, 2017

Received funds for our Guest House (Mary’s Nest). We were also recently donated a parcel of land to start our youth soccer complex!

January, 2018

November brought remodeling and upgrades to our Guest House. Officially announcing our soft opening of Guest House (Mary’s Nest) with a plan to be completely renovated by March of 2018. A planned trip for Loyal 3 Construction to arrive in Hinche in February for further remodeling of the Guest House and renovating our thrift shop!
